Boat racing photos
Just posted some photos from our Spring Wednesday night racing at right. Our boat is the blue J/30 named "Shenandoah." I'm the only one from the family in these pictures, unfortunately. I'm sitting in the back driving.

Dan and Amy sailed from Yorktown to Newport with the Jones on their boat Delphinus. The trip took 3 days. We sailed on the ocean along the coast and arrived in Newport on the morning of Saturday, June 23rd to be treated by a pancake and bacon breakfast by Joran and Lyn at the Ida Lewis Yacht Club. The water was rough and the wind blew over 15 knots the whole way, but it was still an adventure.
OK, I'm going to start posting photos to this again. Others are welcome to post photos too...just call or email for the password and instructions. Its real simple. I'd also like to use it for general family communication if anyone else will. I just posted 3 new albums -- 2 from our vacation in Washington this summer and one from around the house before that. -- Dan
The boy started crawling tonight. He's been getting up on his knees for a couple weeks now but never tried forward motion until tonight. He actually got pretty far in his first outing...the cat will rue the day. Photos are in the gallery at right and video is attached below. For the videos, you can click on it to open and view but it may take awhile to dowload (but it WILL work). For me, it was faster to right click and save to the hard drive, and then open it.Download MOV02996.MPG Download MOV02997.MPG
Amy and I sailed in a NYD race on our boat. It was over 50 degrees but Amy still froze her butt off. I think she has an iron deficiency. Or is just a wuss. It was fun, although we got a complete ass-whupping. Some photos are in the gallery at right.
OK, I'm restarting this site. We don't do a great job of sharing photos and info so I figure this will be a good way. If nothing else, we'll be able to get photos of Henry to people who want to see him. I created a couple new albums for the charter trip we took on the Bay a few months ago and for Christmas...I'll add more as we get them off the camera.
I created an album for Lake Tahoe photos...anyone can post there, just use the ID and password I sent out. The album for Henry was just a test; we'll put more stuff in later. There's a 100MB limit on uploads currently; if this catches on, I can increase it. -- Dan
